As a Virginia native, I love nothing more than the sound of the crickets and frogs in the dark on a hot Summer night & running through the heavy air. It's a feeling that has stayed with me for decades. The power of a "feeling" never leaves. That is what I want your photographs to embody.

My relationship with photography began over 25 years ago, in a high school darkroom—long before I understood how deeply it would shape the way I see the world. I went on to study fine art photography at James Madison University in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, following what felt instinctive from the start.

That foundation still informs everything I do.

My work is deeply influenced by the discipline and artistry of film and the intention behind each frame, the deep patience it sometimes requires, and the understanding that what you choose to capture—and how you capture it, matters.

With 20 years of experience photographing weddings, I’ve learned to move beyond expectation. Not to follow a formula, but to approach each day with a fresh perspective—attuned to the people, the energy, and the subtle moments that make it entirely your own.

The result is imagery that feels considered, emotive, and quietly distinctive.

I strive to create photographs that do more than simply capture how it all looked. I want them to carry you back to the atmosphere, the emotion, the subtle, fleeting moments that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.
